Who can carry out the treatment
The royal decree on biocide training regulates the training needed to carry out treatments with biocides and develops it, among others, for rodenticides.1 Biocide services that carry out treatments for third parties must have a technical manager.1
The Generalitat, through the Departament de Salut, processes the registration, modification and cancellation in the ROESP of environmental pest control service companies.2 This page does not certify any company.

- A written quote stating what is included, how many visits and what follow-up.
The official sources reviewed do not explain how to consult the ROESP publicly and there is no official source for the price.
Rats on the street or in a private space: who to notify
If the rats are on the public highway, in the sewer network or in other public spaces such as vacant lots, public facilities and municipal markets, the ASPB takes action. You can notify it on 010, on the civic behaviour line 900 226 226, through the online service or at the citizen service offices.3
If the problem is inside a private space, the owner must contact a private professional pest management service. If it is on someone else's property and the owner does not take the appropriate measures, you must use the citizen communication channels of Barcelona City Council.3
To prevent infestations at home and in private buildings it is advisable to keep things tidy and clean, not to leave waste or food within their reach, to store food in airtight containers, to dispose of organic waste in a bin with a lid and to check drains, service sewer connections, pipes and common areas such as the meter room or the lift area.3
The official sources reviewed do not set out what obligations each party has in a rented home.
